The Sacramento Kings have won 3 of their last 4 games, but tonight’s matchup against the Miami Heat will not be an easy feat.

The first reason why tonight’s game for the Kings will be challenging, the Miami Heat are a pretty good team. Despite their recent loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Heat still stand at a record of 43-31, while being current holders of the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference.

Another reason why the Kings will have their hands full tonight, All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins will be absent due to suspension. The Sacramento Kings won their last game against the Washington Wizards, but it came with a superfluous price.

With the last seconds just waiting to tick down in Sacramento’s recent victory, Cousins earned his 16th technical foul for mocking an official.

Players with 16 technical fouls in a season are guaranteed a one-game suspension by the league. With Boogie being out for tonight’s game the Kings will need everyone to step up their game.

Players like Rajon Rondo and Rudy Gay (⅔ of the Kings Big 3) will need to have dominant performances on the offensive end. Also, players like Darren Collison, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Seth Curry will have to have great games as well, as they have recently contributed big to the Kings success as of late.

Lastly, the Kings will have their hands full on the defensive end. The Heat have a collective bunch of talent which consist of Dwyane Wade, Goran Dragic, Hassan Whiteside, and more. The Kings defense will have to be superb to compete with the Heat tonight.

It will, however, be unlikely to happen since Sacramento’s defense has been historically awful. The Kings are currently ranked last in the league in points allowed per game (109).

The Kings will storm the court tonight in their powder blue uniforms to continue their seasonal flashback Friday tradition. With the Miami Heat, a competitive team, being their opponents tonight plus the absence of DeMarcus Cousins the Kings will have their hands full tonight.

On a bright note, for a peculiar reason Sacramento this season tends to play better against tougher opponents. But on the other hand, the Kings are 2-10 this season when their best player does not to suit up.
