In the city of Sacramento the week started with the typical Sacramento heat blazing down the city, but maybe more heated than that was a Rudy Gay that finally opened up.
In an interview with Sactown Royalty that was released Monday, the Kings starting forward expressed his confusion and frustration with how the Kings front office has handled themselves this offseason.

Rudy Gay also mentioned the inconsistencies that the Kings have experienced since his tenure with the franchise and also chimed into what he and his team went through last season.
"“At this point in my career, I think I want some kind of consistency and we don’t have that here, at all.” -Rudy Gay (per Sactown Royalty)"

After the interview with Gay was released, Kings VP Vlade Divac was asked about it by CSN California, and he responded by saying:
"“He has my number,” Divac told CSN California. “If I do something, I will call him. Obviously, if I didn’t call him, we didn’t do anything.” (per CSN California)"
Based on all the information that has been released, a trade pertaining Gay might be inevitable.
Not too long ago the Sacramento Kings made Gay available on the trading block, and with the frustrations that Gay has expressed recently towards the franchise it might have been the tipping point to a potential breakup.

I think Kings fans have seen the last of Rudy Gay rocking the #8 jersey in purple and white.

With everything that has gone on with Gay being on the trading block and Gay himself unleashing his dissatisfaction towards the Kings makes it seem like Vlade will try to get something done before the season starts.
Like Divac mentioned in his press conference with Dave Joerger back in May: “You’re either in or you’re out”.
The need for a point guard is another reason why I think Gay will be traded before this summer concludes.
There is no surprise that the Kings need another facilitator on their roster, and in order for the Kings to get a solid one in return, they may need to sacrifice Gay.
Bottom line, I think Gay will be traded sometime in the near future, and in my opinion, the Kings will get a point guard in return.

Although Gay has developed into a fan favorite in the last 2 ½ years he has spent in California’s capital, a split between the two parties may be beneficial for both going forward.
