The Sacramento Kings have officially released images and video of their new uniforms.
Willie Cauley-Stien modeled the four new sets of jerseys and shorts that the Kings will be wearing for next season. And as the Kings have to do everything in a high-tech and interactive way, there is virtual reality experience, so fans can see them in 360-degrees.
See the new threads below.
The new jerseys were “leaked” by NBA 2K yesterday, but you can now get a look at them from all angles. They are a major upgrade to the old uniforms, and they incorporate the new set of logos they unveiled earlier this off-season.
The Kings stated in their press release that they will also keep the popular baby blues around.
"“The four new uniforms – home, away, global and city – showcase updated emblems and a refreshed color palate. The classic Baby Blues, worn from 1985-1990, as well as for select home games last year – will return as a part of the team’s ongoing salute to the origins of the team.”"
And if you want a more up-close view of them:
They have put a lot of details into the new jerseys and shorts. Always keeping the history of the franchise and the City of Sacramento in mind.
"“The clean, tri-colored side stripes on the shorts – inspired by the Kansas City-era Kings – are tapered for a modern look. At the base of the shorts for all three uniforms, the city logo serves as a reminder that when you root for the Kings, you root for Sacramento.”"
Gabe’s Thoughts
In my opinion, the new uniforms are immediately put up there with some of the best in the league. And at least one person agrees with me.
