For the Sacramento Kings to be successful next season unity needs to be achieved.

The head coach, Dave Joerger, is going to need the support and belief of his team in order to achieve unanimity.

It is important for all the players on the roster for next season to buy into Joerger’s system, but the main player that needs to get on board is DeMarcus Cousins.

More from Kings News

Last season the relationship between Cousins and former head coach George Karl created tension which factored into the disappointment that Sacramento faced this year. As a result, Karl was let go by the Kings once the season concluded and then entered Joerger as Sacramento’ new head coach.

So far, it seems that the Cousins-Joerger relationship is off to a good start. Not too long ago the two were together hitting the driving range taking swings at golf balls. Here are some videos that were posted on Cousins’ Instagram account that shows the two together.

Although it may not be much from a distance, this is huge for the Kings going forward. Cousins is the best and most talented player on the Kings roster right now, and if he buys into coach Joerger the team will follow.

Again, unity is the biggest goal right now for the Kings to achieve going forward. If everyone from head to toe within the franchise are on the same page, have the same goals, and the same path to success Kings fan can finally start to see progress with their team in the future.

Seeing Cousins and Joerger hanging out with each other outside of basketball can only be encouraging for Kings fans. Cousins did, however, post this picture of him and Karl smiling together last summer, and we all know how that relationship panned out. The Sacramento Kings community is hoping that the Cousins-Joerger duo doesn’t conclude same way.

You know the saying: If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video must be worth a million.
