Should the Sacramento Kings Re-sign Quincy Acy?
By Rafe Wong
There wasn’t much for Sacramento Kings fans to be proud about this season, but one player that was a fan favorite for the Kings community was Quincy Acy.
Acy is not a player that has the stats to show his total worth, but rather the value is shown through his prominent level of hustle and effort that he displays on the floor on a gamely basis.
To conclude this season, Acy played in a total of 59 games and started in 29 of them. He averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game on shooting 55.6% from the court, 38.8% from the three-point line, and 73.5% from the free-throw stripe.

Like I mentioned before, Acy’s numbers won’t knock your underpants off, but his effort on the floor every time he steps on the hardwood is inspiring for Kings fans.
Acy will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and there will be some teams out there that will be interested in an energetic player like himself.
Express Yourself
With that being said, should the Kings try to re-sign Acy? And if so how much should Vlade Divac and the crew offer for his services next season? We want to hear for all of you.

Rafe’s Thoughts
For me, I think it would be smart for the Kings to try hard to get Acy back in purple and white next season. The Kings could use guys that play with a chip on their shoulders constantly and gives the maximum effort on the court, which Acy definitely does. That level of tenacity could also rub onto his teammates as well.
Overall, I think Acy could be an asset for Sacramento going forward, so if I were the Kings front office I would probably offer a deal valued around 3-4 million annually over a duration of 2-3 years.
I think a deal similar to this would give pleasure to Acy, the Kings organization, and the fans who view Acy as a fan favorite.
