Because of a trade that the Kings made with the Cleveland Cavaliers back 2011, the Kings would have lost their pick to the Chicago Bulls if they landed outside of the top 10 in the lottery.
Fortunately for the Kings and their fans, the purple and white endured the lottery and will keep their pick, which is a huge gain for the Kings going into this offseason.
The Sacramento Kings community was also interested in where the Kings would land in the lottery yesterday, and thanks to social media, the A Royal Pain team was able to collect the reactions of some Kings fans on Sacramento receiving the 8th pick.

The reactions do not sense enthusiasm, but considering that the Kings pick originally was in jeopardy, there should be a little sigh of relief knowing that the Kings will have a 1st round pick in their arsenal this Summer.
The NBA Draft does not take place until June 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Vlade Divac and the crew will have some time to decide what they want to do with their pick until then.
