The Sacramento Kings are continuing their process of finding their next head coach. Today’s candidate that they will interview if they haven’t already is Elston Turner.

It was reported a couple of days ago from Sacramento Bee’s Jason Jones that the Kings front office has scheduled to talk to Turner, currently the assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies, about the head coaching vacancy for their franchise (per Sacramento Bee).

The possibility of Turner becoming the King’s next head coach going forward would mean they will bring a familiar face back to the organization. From the years 2000-2006, Turner was an assistant coach to Rick Adelman, the last coach to successfully lead the Kings to the postseason.

Turner has also been an assistant coach with the Portland Blazers (1997-2001), Houston Rockets (2007-2011), Phoenix Suns (2011-2012), and currently with the Grizzlies since 2013.

Turner has also been a player in the NBA, as he was able to sustain an 8-year career playing for the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, and Chicago Bulls.

So Kings fans, what are your thoughts about the Kings potentially hiring Elston Turner back as the next head coach for the franchise going forth?
