Social Media On The Sacramento Kings Broad Coaching Search
By Rafe Wong
Last week the Sacramento Kings were in the news in a positive light with the release of their new rebranding of the team.
But fast forward now and the Kings are back where they were in the media as the clown show of the NBA. The Kings still haven’t made a decision on who their next head coach will be for the 2016-2107 season, but they do have a grocery list of names that they plan to interview in the near future.
Like Joey Tribbiani’s stash of condoms, the list for the Kings head coaching candidates goes on and on. The list first started out at four with names like Mark Jackson, Vinny Del Negro, Sam Mitchell, and Mike Woodson.

The list has dramatically expanded over time as names like Ettore Messina, Kevin McHale, and many others have popped in the news as interviewees for the Kings as well. The most recent group to join the overcrowded party are Jeff Hornacek and Henry Bibby. Is Henry’s son Mike available too?
The Kings current search for their next coach has definitely been broad, and some fans in the Kings/NBA community have expressed their opinions on this issue. Here are some reactions that I thought stood out:

Who knows when the Kings will officially make their decision on their next head coach, or how many candidates they have left to interview. One thing for sure is, the Kings can never fail in making the news in the NBA community. Even if it is an attempt to mock them.
