Remember when the Sacramento Kings played in the 2002 Western Conference Finals and were rocking their black uniforms on the road?
Well, the color black may be in danger of being extinct from the newest Kings color scheme.
Based on the updates on the Kings new logo, the new look for Sacramento will be mostly based on the colors purple, silver, and white (per SportsLogos.net). It is important however to know that nothing has been finalized yet.

In my opinion, the logo design with colors now looks pretty nice. Silver has never been a primary color for the Kings since moving to Sacramento. Although the logo looks nice with its colors, as a lifelong Kings fan, I wish there would be some black implemented into the design mainly for nostalgia purposes.

The Kings played some of their best basketball in the late 1990s to early 2000s where the color black was the main color for their road uniforms. Hopefully the Kings will still rock these uniforms going into their new arena as well (picture here).
So to go with Sacramento’s new arena, they will also bring a new look to their team as well. Let’s hope the uniforms look good too once they get released.
