Should The Sacramento Kings Bring Back Quincy Acy?
By Rafe Wong
Quincy Acy was the ideal player for the Sacramento Kings in terms of intangibles last season, but whether he comes back next Fall in purple is now uncertain.
The news out yesterday that Acy has declined his player option that was available to him in his once current contract, and will now enter this NBA offseason as an unrestricted free agent (per CBS Sports).
This season Acy played 59 games (29 of them starting) and averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds a game. He also shot 55.6% from the court overall, 38.8% from the three-point stripe, and earned a PER (Player Efficiency Rating) of 14.71.

Obviously, Kings fans know that numbers will not justify what Acy brought to this team last season. Acy is a scrapper and an energizer bunny that is going to bring 100% heart and tenaciousness when his shoes hit the hardwood of a basketball court.
For a team that is looking for an identity, a positive one at least, going forward with their franchise, having a player like Acy is always good to have.
The Kings need to start bringing in players that are going to be ready to play on any given day and put in the blood, sweat, and tears to help this organization get back to relevancy. In my opinion, Acy fits the bill for these types of players.

So overall, I think Acy needs to be a player that the Kings front office should seriously consider bringing back to the Kings next season. Hopefully, both parties can find a value that both can agree upon this Summer so #13 can remain with the Kings when they move into their new Golden 1 Center.
