April 16th, 2014 – Phoenix Suns

Unfortunately the only game from Little Mac’s rookie season to make my list was a loss, but it was also Ben McLemore’s career-high game in points scored, and a very good all-around game as well.

At just under 50 percent, McLemore wasn’t amazingly efficient in this game but he certainly wasn’t completely inaccurate. Posting a line of 31/5/5 tends to cover up most other things anyway–that’s a straight-up excellent game by anybody’s standards.

McLemore played a ton of minutes in this contest, as usual–in his career he’s never missed a game and has played over 4,800 minutes already. He also turned the ball over just twice, and managed to get to the line 15 times–Little Mac wasn’t as good of a shooter his rookie season, so he had to find other ways to score.

And score he did, but although he led both teams in scoring the Kings still fell to the Suns, 104-99. That does it for my list of Ben McLemore’s five best games, for his first two seasons at least.

Do you disagree? Have a great Little Mac game you think I missed on my list? Tweet it at me (either @TiWindisch or @ARoyalPain works) or leave a comment below!
