April 9th, 2016 – Oklahoma City Thunder
Despite it’s lack of memorable history in recent years, it’s going to be an emotional few hours as the Kings play their last regular season game ever in Sleep Train Arena against Kevin Durant and the Thunder in early April 2016. Maybe not as much if Sacramento makes the playoffs and gets at least two more home games, but either way this will be a cool game.
As good as the Thunder are, I hope the Kings can make this a great game. It’s important to end this chapter of Sacramento history with a bang, and ride some momentum into the new Golden 1 Center that should be ready for opening night in 2016.
These are my picks for the five most-anticipated games the Kings will play in the regular season this year–what are yours? Tweet at me (@ARoyalPain or @TiWindisch, either one works) or leave an answer in the comments below!
