A Royal Pain: Under New Management

Although we’ve managed due to some terrific staff writers, we here at A Royal Pain have been a bit rudderless without an Editor-In-Chief to lead things. Well, that’s no longer the case. I’m Ti Windisch, and I couldn’t be happier to announce that I’ve been picked for that position!

More from Kings News

I’m a 20-year-old Bucks fan living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin who loves the entire NBA. I’ve been writing for about six months, and this is my first time getting to take on an editorial role. I’m a little nervous, but mostly absolutely excited to get started here!

I’ve covered the Bucks over at BehindTheBuckPass.com, and the Pistons and Hawks for HoopsHabit.com, both of which are excellent sites with great writers and editors who helped me grow immensely.

Enough about me though, let’s get to the fun stuff, the Sacramento Kings. Although Sacramento wasn’t able to make the playoffs last season in the tough Western Conference, the future is bright for the Kings thanks to one DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins, known more affectionately as Boogie, is one of the best big men in the NBA already at the young age of 24. The challenge for Sacramento is now surrounding Boogie with talent, and also keeping the often-irate big man happy and in a purple Kings jersey for years to come as Sacramento improves and assembles a team that can make a deep playoff run.

My challenge, on the other hand, is keeping all of you great Sacramento fans coming back to A Royal Pain for all of your Kings news and analysis. Well, I should say our challenge, because when A Royal Pain becomes the premier Kings site it will be because of the hard work of many individuals.

We are going to cover every angle of the Sacramento Kings, and although we all like this team we are writers first and fans second. You can expect all of our articles to cover the Kings, but we take pride in being mostly unbiased scribes, not blind homers.

We also will focus on doing some fun, less conventional stuff, in addition to the typical journalistic articles. We want to have a broad content base that includes different types of pieces that will appeal to all sorts of Kings fans, and prove to everyone we are a great source for Sacramento Kings content.

Right now we have a great writing core consisting of Rafe Wong, Kyle Robert and Connor Schumock writing articles here (in addition to myself, of course). Although I’m sure those guys will continue their great work, we are always looking to add more team members to A Royal Pain.

If you think you could be a part of our strong core and wish to pursue sports writing, or are simply a passionate yet logical Kings fan, please contact me @TiWindisch or on the site handle @ARoyalPain. We love hearing from fans about our articles too, so feel free to let us know how we’re doing and weigh in on our content!
