The Sacramento Kings were outmatched tonight as they lost to the Utah Jazz by a score of 112-82, dropping their record to 29-46 for the season.

Listed down below are the highs and lows of tonight’s game pertaining to the Sacramento Kings.

HIGHS

Ben McLemore: It looked like it was going to be a blowout loss for the Kings in the early stages of the game, but a surge in Ben McLemore’s game helped his team stay competitive for the match. McLemore’s performance was a pleasure for Kings fans to watch tonight as he scored 22 points on 9-12 shooting from the court. The confidence and aggression in Ben’s game were blinding tonight, and if he continues to play at this efficiency, the reserves for Sacramento should be a primary asset for the team going forward.

Experience From Young Bigs: With Kosta Koufos absent from tonight’s game, it caused the young bigs in Willie Cauley-Stein, Skal Labissiere, and Georgios Papagiannis to get some valuable and significant playing time on the court. Although the trio didn’t have the best game, combining for 24 points and 18 rebounds, it was still a good experience for the group to have going up against an up and coming star in Rudy Gobert. Hopefully, this game was a learning experience for the three players.

Ty Lawson: Ty Lawson continues to be a sparkplug for Sacramento’s bench as he finished tonight’s game with 11 points and 3 assists while shooting 4-5 from the floor. He continues to give defenses fits with his speed and quickness which opens up opportunities for him and his teammates to score.

LOWS

Buddy Hield: In a game where the Kings needed Buddy Hield to deliver, he, unfortunately, was unsuccessful. For the game, Buddy struggled with his shooting stroke as he scored only 2 points on 1-7 shooting from the court.

1st & 4th Quarters: The Kings had their chances to win this game, but the first and fourth quarters of tonight’s contest really held the purple and white from even being competitive. For the two periods listed above, the Jazz outscored the Kings 68-29, causing the Jazz to win in comfortable fashion.

Rudy Gobert: Rudy Gobert continues to give the Sacramento Kings havoc on both ends of the floor. For the game, Gobert recorded 16 points and 15 rebounds, but his numbers don’t tell the whole story. Scoring, rebounding, and defending were all glaring in Gobert’s game tonight. As a result, the Jazz was able to cause the Kings’ offense to struggle as well as win the rebounding battle by a comfortable margin.
