Player #1: De’Aaron Fox

Is anyone surprised to see this guy on the list? Well, you should not.

Prior to the 2018-2019 season starting, the Kings mentioned how De’Aaron Fox needed to fulfill the role as the franchise guy in order for the team’s rebuild to make strides, and so far, he has done an excellent job.

In the 50 games that Fox has appeared in, he has averaged around 17 points, seven assists, and four rebounds a game while making over 46% of his shots from the floor, 36% from beyond the arc, and 72% from the free-throw line.

As a facilitator, Fox has been the main reason why Sacramento’s offense has been electric this season. Due to him controlling the tempo of the game and setting up his teammates and himself for quick and easy scores, it has definitely helped the Kings in winning games. Defensively, Fox still needs to improve on this end of the floor. But with that said, he is still one of the better defenders that the Kings have had this year.

Overall, Fox has been the anchor for the Kings this season. Without his ability to run the fast-paced offense well, there is no way that the purple and white are at the 26-win mark at this point of the year. He is a star on the rise and will be one of the core pieces that the Kings will depend on to lead the franchise back to relevancy.
