The NBA regular season schedule has been released to the public, giving specific details on who the Sacramento Kings will face this upcoming year.

Thoughts

What stands out the most from the Kings’ schedule is the starting date of the regular season and the matchups the Kings will play in on the national stage.

First, the season will begin for the Kings on October 18, which is about a week or so earlier than previous season openers in the past. The NBA made it a priority to make sure future seasons in their league will begin earlier to account for more rest towards its players.

Second, the Kings have themselves some highly-anticipated games that will be broadcasted on the national stage. Some of these games are when the Kings will the host the New Orleans Pelicans on TNT (Boogie reunion) and the Los Angeles Lakers on ESPN. In total, the Kings will have 12 televised games including four games broadcasted by ESPN or TNT.
