Social Media on DeMarcus Cousins against France

The Olympic campaign hasn’t been ideal for the United States basketball team. Despite having an undefeated record of 5-0, Team USA have already survived three close games so far, which is unfamiliar territory for the team considering their history of supremacy.

Why does this pertain to the Sacramento Kings? Because Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins is on the Team USA roster and has not been playing as dominate as basketball fans expected.

Since dominating in the exhibition games prior to the Olympics, Cousins hasn’t shown that same level of efficiency playing in Brazil. Yesterday’s game against France wasn’t any different, as Cousins finished the night recording 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 fouls.

Team USA fans noticed the performance that Cousins was displaying yesterday, which caused some of them to publish their opinions of him on social media.

With that being said, here are some of the reactions that the A Royal Pain team was able to gather up pertaining to Boogie’s performance yesterday against France.

In my opinion, some of these reactions are pretty extreme. Cousins hasn’t played entirely well so far in the Olympics (similar to his other U.S. teammates), but he is not playing like trash.

Yes, as a whole, Team USA has been disappointing so far, but yet they still sit at 5-0 in the standings and will enter the knockout stage of the tournament as the team to beat.

Hopefully, the red, white, and blue are able to play better going forward. They will have to in order to make their dreams of winning gold become a reality.
