Lots of stuff went down yesterday during the Kings annual media day session. And while it wasn’t as eventful as past years, there were some interesting nuggets which I’ll touch on below. It’s getting close to the season and that is giving me a basketball boner. And while it’s still pretty boring, well, past the whole random Desmond Mason signing, here is a little video from KingsFlix to get your basketball pants a little snug. And yes. Well, according to SI.com, he just might be. Thompson was named with Amir Johnson, Martell Webster, Ryan Anderson, Randy Foye, Carl Landry, and Brandon Rush as the most likely breakout candidates for this upcoming season. Well, you can file this one under the WTF category. Desmond Mason. Really? REALLY? No, he doesn’t really suck and it’s a pretty small price to pay (1 year, 825,000 to be exact), but with the amount of depth at the SG/SF slots…especially youth, the move really seems odd. Is it a pre-cursor to a potential trade? One might think so…because from a pure roster standpoint, we really didn’t need Mason or his career 26% from the arc, despite his potential high flying dunks. Long story short. Rashad McCants is an asshole. He’s really not that good at basketball. He’s selfish. And he devotes all of his time on Twitter talking about skee-hoes, chickenheads, gold diggin hoes, and Hanson’s  mmmbop song (Okay, maybe I added the last one. That shit was catchy though). While it might have been a difficult year for the Kings record wise, the Kings organization (and Monarchs) continue to impress when it comes to off the court activities – especially when it involves the fans.
