I had plans to write out a full post on my personal views on this situation, but, I’m going to scratch that and let the people decide. After all, this is a democracy, is it not?!
So, who do you feel will have a better season for the Kings this year? Jason Thompson or Spencer Hawes? There doesn’t need to be a whole lot of logic behind this. We don’t need an explanation of how they’re different players who have different roles or who their grandmothers are.
Simple and plain – who’s going to have a better season? Jason or Spence?

Spencer Hawes vs. Jason Thompson
FoxSports.com NBA Analyst Charley Rosen, famed for about 15 basketball related books, took some time out to evaluate some of the projected worst teams in the NBA this season, and our Sacramento Kings were right near the top. I guess on the plus side, we weren’t totally at the top. That honor went to the New Jersey Nets. Rosen named the Kings as the third worst team in the NBA this upcoming season:
The Kings feature a roster full of flawed players. Kevin Martin can score points by the dozen, but rarely passes and his version of playing defense is to [...]
Chris Webber Interview
Yesterday as I was reading Skeets 10 Man Rotation, I came across this amazing interview conducted by the guys over at The Starting Five. Michael Tillery sat down with Chris Webber recently and got one of the most candid CWebb interviews you’ll ever read. This isn’t the typical bullcrap media interview or a team controlled interview, it’s Chris Webber in his most honest and rare form – a must read for any Sacramento King or Chris Webber fan.
One of the most interesting pieces in the article to me was when Chris recollected on how he thought of returning to Sacramento [...]
The Sacramento Kings announced the members of the 2009-10 dance team this morning via FanFare…with a little help from Sacramento King superhero Andrew Nicholson. Seriously, between Andrew and Amick, we’re about ready to start a comic book collection. Anyway….
Have a look, and keep the pants on. I will NOT be doing any clean up.
Some say Kings uber-media talent Andrew Nicholson has the most perfect job in the world. It would be hard to disagree. Though, asking “how hard is it” might not have been the best word choice for this particular video (via KingsFlix)…
Personally, I get much harder over Tyreke Evan’s crossov…err wait what? No I don’t! I mean, what? Shit! *panic* ABORT ABORT.
New Kings power-forward Sean May took some time out to sit down with Hoopshype.com’s Jorge Sierra, and pretty much gave anybody and everybody that talked crap about him a big dose of STFU.
Personally, one of my favorite quotes from the article was actually from the first question, when Sean was asked the typical “Why Sacramento”…to which he responded:
Just because I liked the fact that Sacramento is a young team, with a lot of young guys that are also talented. They have a new staff coming in. They’ve always had great fan support and the community there is great. It was [...]
If there is one thing Hedo Turkoglu shouldn’t do, it’s start a rap career. But let’s face it – there comes a time that every player needs to do something after basketball. Doktakra of LowPosts and I have once again joined forces to uncover what some of the teams’ best and favorite players have been up to in their post-Kings days. Let’s take a look at the careers and business venture’s our Kings have gotten into:
Jason Williams: Williams couldn’t stay retired for long, and soon became a respected professor of Chinese Studies at a local university. “I went from confused [...]
So earlier this afternoon, the Los Angeles Clippers renounced the rights they held over one time Sacramento King Point Guard Jason Williams, which will allow Williams to be placed on waivers and become a free agent.
Nostalgically, it would be awesome to see Jason throw on the #55 again, and return to his first home, but realistically it just doesn’t make a lot of sense with Beno and his five million dollars eating away at the cap even with our lack of a legit Point Guard. Williams’ knees are also a main concern for his return, but here is to hoping [...]
In what will be a Sacramento King version of Ball Don’t Lie’s Phenomenal Swag, I will be showing off a collection of Sacramento King gear (and odd memorabilia at times) that’s destined to make you the most swagged out balla on the face of yo block, ya heard?
Our first collection of phenomenal swag King gear will be a team issued, authentic home Sacramento Kings Jason Williams jersey. Finding a home authentic Kings jersey from the late 90’s or early 2000’s is nearly impossible, but to find an authentic Jason Williams rookie jersey is pretty much the equivalent of a life [...]
File this one under the somewhat odd rumor of the day, but, according to Oberto’s agent among other sources, the Sacramento Kings have expressed some serious interest in bringing the Argentinian Center to cowbell country. Oberto, who won a Championship with the Spurs, was traded earlier this offseason to the Detroit Pistons in a three team deal which included the Milwaukee Bucks. The 34 year old center is expected to pick a team soon, and has apparently narrowed his choices down to the Wizards, Kings, Spurs, Suns, and Thunder – with the Wizards as favorites.
