After falling to the Memphis Grizzlies in a nail-biter, the Sacramento Kings now have their second game of a road back-to-back against the San Antonio Spurs.

As a 10-13 team that has lost seven of their last nine games, the Kings desperately need a win in the loaded Western Conference (the Kings currently sit at 12th in the West). The Spurs are a young team headlined by their prodigious starting center, Victor Wembanyama.

However, a back injury kept Wembanyama from competing in the Spurs' Thursday night game against the Chicago Bulls (one that they lost without him). Will he be available for this game? Who will be missing for the Kings? Here is the full injury report for this game.

Sacramento Kings Injury Report

After going through a rough patch on the injury front, the Kings are getting back to the trend of good health they have endured over the last two games (*knocks wood aggressively*). The only player in their normal rotation currently listed on the injury report is Trey Lyles.

Lyles is out with the calf strain he suffered against the Oklahoma City Thunderlast week. Lyles won't be getting re-evaluated until the end of the month. So, there is a good chance we won't see him for the rest of 2024.

Notice how we said the only player in their "normal rotation." The Kings are still missing their 2024 first round draft pick, Devin Carter. Carter has yet to have a chance to crack the rotation, as he's spent the entire first portion of the season recovering from an offseason shoulder injury.

San Antonio Spurs Injury Report

Now, for the Wembanyama of it all. Wembanyama missed the Spurs' game against the Bulls yesterday with lower back soreness.

As of writing this, there has been no update about Wembanyama's injury status ahead of this game. But given the severity (or should we say, lack thereof) and the fact that the Spurs are also playing a back-to-back, there is a chance that the Spurs were strategically using this minor ding as a chance to rest their star.

On the flip side, one could argue that the Spurs will want to be careful with their prized center and give him another game of extra rest. Overall, I'd say there is a 50/50 chance he suits up.

Tre Jones also missed the Bulls' game with a shoulder injury. His status has also not yet been updated for this game. Jones has had an injury-riddled 2024-25 campaign so far – missing 14 of the Spurs' first 22 contests.

After this game, the Kings return home to face the Utah Jazz on Sunday, December 8.
