The 2025 NBA Trade Deadline is finally behind us. And man, was it a busy one for the Sacramento Kings. First, the team said goodbye to a franchise icon while also introducing a player they have been courting for years. After that, they added a veteran big man to help bolster their frontcourt. And to top everything off, they added a great role player right before the clock struck midnight on the 2025 deadline.
With all these transactions taking place in such a short period of time, it can be hard to keep track of how many picks the Kings have left in their treasure chest. So, we are going to help keep you fully informed by giving you an up-to-date look at the Kings' pick situation between now and 2031.
Sacramento Kings first round draft picks
As it stands, the Kings have seven first round picks with no protections on them. Five of them are their own firsts, and two of them are coming from other teams. The five that are their own are in 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030. Meanwhile, the two that are coming from other teams are the 2027 first round pick they have from the San Antonio Spurs and the 2031 pick they have from the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Kings also have two first round picks with restrictions on them. The first one is the Charlotte Hornets 2025 first round pick. The pick is lottery protected. So, if the Hornets don't make the playoffs, it will get converted to two second round picks (in 2026 and 2027).
The second one is a pick swap with the Spurs in 2031. The Kings will get the worse of the two picks in the swap in the 2031 NBA Draft.
Sacramento Kings second round draft picks
The Kings don't have nearly as many second round picks as first round picks. Until the Charlotte pick converts into two seconds, the Kings only have three second round picks. Two of them are their own (one is in 2026, and one is in 2027). They also own the Chicago Bulls' second round pick in this upcoming draft, which could end up being a top 40 pick depending on how the rest of their season goes.
