Round two of the draft is tonight (and the Kings have one more pick)

The first-round of the 2026 NBA Draft is done and the second-round is right way. The Sacramento Kings have one pick to work with, meaning that they need to choose wisely. If the opportunity is there, the Kings will likely go for Trevon Brazile, though there are plenty of good options.

Over the course of the last few weeks, the Kings have brought in several college players for workouts. These are the guys that Sacramento will be interested in for the second-round of the draft. They are also potential targets if they go undrafted, assuming the Kings have salary cap space for that.

While the Kings did have two second-round picks, they gave number 34 up to the Cavs to secure Alex Karaban at number 29 in the first-round. That leaves them with the 45th pick to work with. To be fair, that assumes general manager Scott Perry doesn't have another surprise trade in the works.

Perry's potential second-round surprise

No one was shocked that the Kings wanted Karaban. He's a great choice, and has been linked to the team for months. What was a bit more surprising was the pick trade with the Cavs to secure him in the first-round. It was the right move, but it did catch most people off-guard.

That leaves Sactown fans and NBA analysts wondering what Perry could have in store for the second-round. This is one of the most talented and deep draft classes of all time. There are high caliber players available all the way through number 60.

Perry could easily be working on another trade that gives the Kings one more pick in the second-round, putting their total in the draft to four. It all depends on who the front office has their eyes on, and if there's a deal to be made that gets them where they want to go.

Bringing in Brazile with Acuff makes sense

Left in the draft is Trevon Brazile. He seems like a likely second-round target for the Kings as Brazile is one of the players Sacramento brought in for a workout. On top of that, he's a college teammate of their top draft pick, Darius Acuff Jr. Plus, he brings a great set of skills to the court.

Brazile is a 6'10" forward with a 7'4" wingspan who would bring needed rim protection and defensive versatility to the Kings. Plus, his long-range shooting has improved dramatically alongside his already dominant finishing in the paint. This is a dangerous and prolific dunker.

Running him with Maxime Raynaud, Dylan Cardwell, and Precious Achiuwa would give the Kings size and defense when they need it most. Sacramento just needs to make sure they get Brazile. That means it's time for Perry to work his magic yet again.
