On Wednesday, Netflix debuted their new documentary, "Starting 5." The ten-part series follows around LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, and our very own Domantas Sabonis through their journey in the 2023-24 season.

To their credit, Netflix has put together an excellent piece of content. The series is littered with insights and revelations about each of the stars they are spotlighting. For instance, watching it will teach you about Sabonis' soft-spoken nature and how he has had to learn to balance that with being a leader on a contending team.

Domantas Sabonis' beef with Draymond Green

Along with his countless double-doubles, one of the things Sabonis is most well-known for is the stomp heard around the world. If you aren't familiar with that reference, basically, what happened is that in Game 2 of the Western Conference First matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green stepped on Sabonis while the big man was on the ground.

The interaction resulted in an ejection and a Game 3 suspension for Green. Sabonis was banged up, but he did manage to get through the rest of the series.

A lot of time has passed since then, though, and time does heal all ailments (both physically and mentally). So, the beef that may or may not have existed between these two likely isn't as intense as it once was.

Recently, Sabonis said on "The Rich Eisen Show" that there were no ill feelings between the two. During the documentary, Sabonis reiterated this sentiment.

“I have no hard feelings. Nothing," Sabonis said in the Starting 5.

Okay, so the two of them are cool. But why watch a documentary when you can find out the same thing by listening to podcasts? Well, unlike Sabonis' appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show," in the documentary, we also get to hear his wife's point of view on this whole situation.

“The stomp heard around the world. Let’s talk about it," Shashana Sabonis said during the Starting 5. I was seven months pregnant at the time, and I was horrified. I just remember shaking, thinking I was going to give birth. Then, I see them put a towel over my husband’s head, and I was done for.”

“Personally, it was not enjoyable," Shashana Sabonis summarized.

At the time of the incident, the couple was pregnant with their second child (their daughter, Eleven Rose). The incident really spooked Shashana, which is the last thing you want to do to a pregnant woman. Fortunately, it didn't have any long-term ramifications, as Eleven was born healthy and her presence is one of the best parts of the documentary. The couple also has a boy (born in March of 2022) named Tiger.
