The Sacramento Kings are spiraling, going from being a respectable 8-6 and eighth in the Western Conference to losers of four straight games and not even in the play-in picture (12th in the Western Conference).

But how much of a free fall do the experts think the Kings have taken in terms of their place in the league hierarchy? In this post, we look at where power rankings across different websites have the Kings ranked.

What do the power rankings say about the Sacramento Kings?

In the chart below, we are going to look at the most recent power rankings from NBA.com, The Athletic, and ClutchPoints. The Athletic's power rankings are up-to-date as of Tuesday, November 26. Meanwhile, the ones from NBA.com and ClutchPoints were posted on Monday, November 25.

ClutchPoints is a little higher on the Kings than NBA.com and The Athletic (maybe that's because they posted their power rankings before the Kings' loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder). But they all view the Kings as being the worst team out of the non-bottom feeders in the Western Conference (the New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, and Utah Jazz).

NBA.com specifically highlights the Kings' two biggest issues right now: 3-point shooting and bench production. After shooting 25% from three against the Thunder, the Kings are now down to 32.8% from three for the season, which is 26th in the NBA.

As for their bench, the Kings are 28th in bench points per game (24.3 PPG). Fortunately, Malik Monk is now back in the lineup after missing seven games with an ankle sprain. The Kings were 2-5 with Monk out of the lineup.

ESPN didn't release a power ranking this week, but they do have their Basketball Power Index tool (a measure of team strength developed by the ESPN Analytics team). According to that, the Kings are ranked 19th in the NBA and 11th in the Western Conference.

Lastly, according to Opta Analyst's Championship Prediction model, the Kings have the 16th-best odds to win the NBA title (they are tied for tenth-best odds in the West with the Los Angeles Lakers).
