If you've heard that the Sacramento Kings are at rock bottom, then you have a good source of information. Not only has the team lost 11 of their last 14 games, but they just surrendered a game to the Washington Wizards (a tanking team that owns the second-worst record in the association).
What's worse is the Kings are on a highway to nowhere. They aren't good enough to avoid having to win two games in the NBA Play-In Tournament, but they also probably aren't bad enough to keep their 2025 first round pick.
Now, they are faced with a similar caliber of opponent in the Charlotte Hornets, who own the third-worst record in the league. So, the Kings have a prime opportunity to revive their franchise a little bit with a win tonight.
But who will the Kings have available to them? What about the Hornets? Here is the full injury report ahead of this game.
Sacramento Kings Injury Report
Outside of a few brief rough patches, the Kings have been a pretty healthy team for most of the season. On the year, they have the third-fewest dollars lost from player injuries of any team in the NBA (per Spotrac). Lately, though, their luck hasn't been so great, as the team has been regularly had two or three rotation-level players listed on their injury report.
In this game, the Kings are in jeopardy of missing two rotation players. One we know will be out for certain is Jake LaRavia, who is listed as "out" with a thumb injury. Last Friday, it was reported that LaRavia would be re-evaluated in seven to ten days. So, we probably won't see him for the rest of this week.
The other rotation player in question here is Devin Carter. He is currently listed as "questionable" after missing the last two games with a right shoulder contusion. In general, when a player is listed as probable, that means that they have a roughly 50/50 chance of playing in that game.
Outside of those two, both Mason Jones and Isaiah Crawford are listed as "out" due to their G-League obligations.
Update: Sabonis is now listed as questionable with a right ankle injury.
Charlotte Hornets Injury Report
As you would expect from a tanking team in April, the Hornets have a pretty extensive injury report heading into this one. It's not that they are manufacturing injuries out of thin air. But they also aren't letting anyone play through any soreness.
For this game, the Hornets will be without at least six players. LaMelo Ball (ankle), Josh Green (shoulder), Tre Mann (back), Damion Baugh (hip), Brandon Miller (wrist), and Grant Williams (knee) are all listed as "out" for this game.
Seth Curry (back), Taj Gibson (illness), and Mark Williams (back) are all listed as "probable" (giving them about a 75% chance of playing in this one). Nick Smith Jr. is considered "questionable" (ankle).
After this game, the Kings will continue their road trip by traveling to Cleveland to play the Cavaliers on Sunday, April 6.
