This is an important moment in the season.

The Sacramento Kings showed up to face the Knicks with a two-game win streak at home on the line, and they came through. For the first time in the 2025-2026 season, Sacramento has won three games in a row, kicking off a seven-game home stand in epic fashion.

So far, this hasn't been the best season for the Kings. They have been the worst team in the Western Conference a couple of times, and were one loss away from being the worst team in the league at one point. Battling back from that took a lot of grit and determination.

On Sunday, the Kings' kicked off a stretch of seven-games at home by taking on the Rockets. The first time they met, Houston obliterated Sacramento by nearly 30 points. The story was different in round two as the Kings eked out a one point overtime victory at home, then beat them again recently.

As it turned out, that win was just the beginning. The Kings would go on to beat the Lakers and then the Knicks, taking the first three games of their home stand as victories. This is the only time this season that Sactown fans have gotten three wins in a row period, let alone at home.

This is incredibly important for the Kings as a team

Everyone knows by now that Kings' fans are the most passionate, supportive, and patient in the league. They have put up with a lot of crap from this franchise, and keep coming back, ready to cheer their crew on. Getting an actual win streak energizes that fan base, and keeps them on board.

And there's no reason why it can't continue. The next four games of this home stretch are against the Wizards, Blazers, Heat, and Raptors. Sacramento has already beaten one of those teams while two of them Sacramento should be able to beat. The other team is the Raptors, who will be tough.

Obviously, there are no guarantees in the NBA, and fans have rightly learned to be cautiously optimistic when it comes to the Kings. Yet, this moment also feels like the team is turning a corner. Winning all seven home games feels unlikely, but there is also a sense that the Kings could do it.

This is the impact of putting even a small win streak together. It's great for the franchise, the players, and the fans, restoring even a basic level of confidence in what they're doing. If the Kings can keep that going and continue stringing wins together, maybe the Play-In Tournament isn't out of reach.
