The Sacramento Kings are in desperate need of a win. They are 9-11 and losers of five of their last six games. On Sunday, they will have a prime opportunity to do this when they play host to the San Antonio Spurs (aka the first time Harrison Barnes returns to Sacramento since the trade).
But will the Kings have DeMar DeRozan? Who else is on the injury report? Who are the Spurs missing? In this article, we provide the full injury report ahead of the game.
Sacramento Kings Injury Report
After missing the last two games with a back injury (one that caused him to miss three games earlier this year), DeRozan is looking like he will suit up for this contest. According to ESPN's injury page, DeRozan is listed as "probable," which means he has about a 75% chance of playing in this game.
Trey Lyles, one of the Kings' most important players off the bench, will continue to be out after suffering a calf strain in the team's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder last week. There is a good chance that we won't see him again in 2024.
The newest name on the injury report is Kevin Huerter. The struggling sharpshooter left Friday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers early after hurting his ankle. His current status for this game is "doubtful." So, his odds of playing are right around the 25% mark.
Outside of those three, Devin Carter (shoulder), Isaiah Crawford (ankle), and Mason Jones (hamstring) will all continue to be out for the Kings.
San Antonio Spurs Injury Report
Unlike the Kings, the Spurs are almost at full health. The only player that is currently listed on the injury report is Jeremy Sochan, who has missed the last 12 games after injuring his left thumb. However, it seems that Sochan will either return in this game against the Kings or their next game against the Phoenix Suns. His status will be worth monitoring as we get closer to tipoff.
The Spurs don't have any other players missing, but they are still without their legendary head coach, Gregg Popovich. Popovich suffered a mild stroke earlier this month and has been out since. He is expected to make a full recovery.
After this game against the Spurs, the Kings will travel down South to play against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, December 3 – the team's final Group Play NBA Cup game.
