1. Jason Terry

Terry was a top-ten pick in 1999 who averaged over 19 points per game during his second season. The Jet played 19 years in the NBA, but his best came in Dallas. He won Sixth Man of the Year in 2009 and was a key part of their championship run in 2011. Terry is a Mavericks legend but is hated by Kings fans.

Sacramento gave up Marcus Thornton to acquire Terry and Reggie Evans at the 2014 trade deadline. They were not making the playoffs and were looking to get off Thornton’s contract. The Jet was making slightly less, but he refused to play with the Kings. The 6’2 guard stayed in Dallas to rehab his knee and took a shot at the organization.

The Kings gave up two second-round picks to dump Terry’s contract in the 2014 offseason. The Jet drew heat from the fans in Sacramento, but he was past his prime and looking to join a contender. Jason Terry never played for the franchise and refused to come to the city.

The Sacramento Kings are no strangers to front-office mistakes, but have they righted the ship? Will the franchise be an annual contender moving forward or do the Kings repeat previous errors? It will certainly be fun to watch, so stay tuned.
