2. Kris Murray, Iowa

Murray is an intriguing prospect in the 2023 NBA Draft. At 6’8″, Murray possesses good size for his position and exhibits a natural scoring ability. He is a skilled shooter who can knock down shots from beyond the arc and has a solid mid-range game. Murray has shown the ability to create his own shot off the dribble, using his crafty ball-handling and footwork to create separation.

Defensively, Murray has the potential to become a solid contributor. His size and length allow him to contest shots effectively, and he has quick hands that lead to steals. With the development and proper coaching, Murray could become a reliable defender capable of guarding multiple positions.

In terms of fitting with the Kings, Murray’s scoring ability and shooting would be a welcome addition to their frontcourt. Sacramento has relied heavily on their guards for scoring, and Murray could alleviate some of that pressure. His ability to create his own shot would provide valuable scoring options alongside the Kings’ star players. Defensively, Murray’s potential growth and versatility could be an asset to their frontcourt rotation.
