Another Sacramento Kings player has undergone a change of appearance, and this time it is Buddy Hield and his hair.

Has any other NBA team undergone a bigger cosmetic change during the current hiatus than the Sacramento Kings?

First, we had the Harrison Barnes beard saga. The veteran small forward vowed not to shave his head or face until the Kings were above .500 or the season ended, whichever came first. Neither has officially come yet, and by all accounts, Barnes’ hair is still growing.

Then there was De’Aaron Fox, who had one of the most recognizable hair styles in the league. In a photo posted by a fan on April 7th, Fox was seen with a new fade, likely a result of being unable to get to a barber or stylist during the quarantine period.

It seems like one Sacramento Kings player has figured out how to get his hair done, and that is Buddy Hield.

As evidenced by the Twitter post made by the team’s official account, Hield has apparently gotten his hair braided.

The double picture shows different angles of the new corn rows (those are corn rows, right?), and they look pretty darn good. I can’t remember if we’ve ever seen Hield like this before, but I feel like there was a game or two over the last couple of seasons where he might have broken this out. Can anyone confirm this for us?

The photograph is taken outside what we can assume is Hield’s house based on the videos that he posts of his driveway workouts, so hopefully he didn’t have to travel too far for his new look.

While there is no time table for a potential return to action, we’d like to see Buddy hit the court with this ‘do at some point if he hasn’t already.
