Shooting Guards

First Off The Bench: Bogdan Bogdanovic

A good argument can be made that Bogdan Bogdanovic should be the starting shooting guard on opening night. But I think for the betterment of the team, he is better suited as the main guy of the second unit.

For the last two years, Bogdan has been an asset for the Kings whether it is him starting games or coming off the bench. The man just wreaks of consistency and versatility as he can help his team whether it is scoring the ball, setting up plays for his teammates, or showing relentless energy on the court.

To me, Bogi should be the #1 guy on the Kings’ bench. He is one of the smartest players on the team and has the skillset to help Cory Joseph run the offense when both are on the court. Not only that, but he can be a help at small forward too as he has the size to play that position as well.

Other Option: Kyle Guy

Kings fans will likely not see much of him, but Kyle Guy seems to be the third option at shooting guard. After having an efficient summer league outing, Guy has the promise to be a future asset for the Kings.

Whether that time comes this season, however, is unlikely. For Guy, he will probably spend most of his season in the G-League and will only be called up if players get injured or the shooting guard position is thin at the time.
