Despite a strong push to get De’Aaron Fox into the All-Star game last season he didn’t make it. This year he will, and he’ll have some company.

De’Aaron Fox had an incredible season last year, and was arguably deserving of a spot on the NBA’s 2018-19 All-Star team. This year, there’ll be no arguing.

Not only will De’Aaron Fox make an All-Star team, but he’ll be joined by rookie-phenom Marvin Bagley III, who, in games where he played 30+ minutes, averaged 21.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks.

Surprised? You shouldn’t be. Fox proved last year he was more than just a gimmicky, fast guy on the court, but an electric talent capable of taking over games on both ends of the court and that he’s an elite point guard in this league.

The real catalyst for both this season though, is Team USA.

Both Fox and Bagley (as well as Harrison Barnes) are moving on with Team USA as they prepare for the 2019 FIBA World Cup. And not only have they been moving on, but they’re excelling. Couple that with the opportunity to play against the best players from across the world and under the best coaches, and you’ve got a recipe for an even bigger breakout season from Fox and Bagley.

And, in the wise words of Trinidad James: Don’t believe me, just watch.
