Sacramento Kings: Marvin Bagley III Is Standing Out At Team USA Camp
By Rafe Wong
With De’Aaron Fox already impressing people at Team USA’s training camp, add Marvin Bagley III to the list of Sacramento Kings who are also blowing away coaches.
It is currently the dead part of the NBA calendar, but that does not mean basketball has ended. Right now, Team USA is currently preparing for the upcoming FIBA World Cup and deciding which players to take to the tournament.
For the Kings, they have three players at the camp in De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, and Marvin Bagley III. Based on current reports, Fox and Barnes have a good shot at making the USA’s final roster, but now it looks Bagley has a chance to make it as well.
According to Marc Stein, NBA Insider, Bagley has been impressive at USA’s camp and has emerged into a legit candidate to make the team’s 15-man roster that will head to Los Angeles soon.
Super Team, Just Young?
It just gets better for the Sacramento Kings. At first, it seemed like Harrison Barnes was the only one who had a shot at representing the purple and white at the World Cup, considering that Fox and Bagley were only on the select team prior.
But since the beginning of camp, the young Kings duo have been on their A-games and are making strong cases to make the USA’s roster that plays in the World Cup.
Just imagine, a United States team that contains three players on the Sacramento Kings? Although it is a long shot, the reality that there is a legit shot should make the Kings community excited for the future of their team.
Maybe the Kings are a superteam that is just young?
