How Deep Are The Sacramento Kings For The 2019-20 Season?
The Rest Of Sacramento’s Bench
Guard: Yogi Ferrell
Yogi Ferrell will serve as the third point guard option and can fill in at shooting guard should the Kings need him to. Though he played 100% of his minutes at the point under former head coach Dave Joerger, the season before he joined Sacramento, with the Dallas Mavericks, he did play 63% of his minutes at the shooting guard spot.
Forward: Richaun Holmes
Richaun Holmes is a 6’10” bundle of rebounding, and defensive energy. His per-36 numbers are impressive at 17.4 points, 10 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks, though he only averaged 17 minutes per game with the Phoenix Suns last season. He is mostly an insurance policy behind Harry Giles, Marvin Bagley III, and Dewayne Dedmon.
Guard: Kyle Guy
Kyle Guy was the 55th overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft and has turned enough heads during Summer League to earn himself a two-way contract. It is uncertain whether or not he will see any significant playing time with the Kings this season, but his progress is worth keeping an eye on. He likely will spend most of his time with the Stockton Kings, Kings’ G-League affiliate, but could make a few appearances rocking the actual Kings uniform.
