The Sacramento Kings invested the 40th pick of the draft on Justin James from the University of Wyoming. Here are three things to like about his game.

This offseason is a big one for the Sacramento Kings. The purple and white surprised the NBA world last season as they finished their campaign with a record of 39-43 and were one spot outside from competing in the postseason. Not bad for a team that was projected to win just around 25 games.

So with that said, making the playoffs is not only a goal for the Kings next season but a must if they want to make strides in their rebuild. In order for them to do that, they need to have a good summer in terms of acquiring talent for their personnel.

Last Thursday, the Kings concluded their 2019 NBA Draft, and as a result, they were able to add three new players into their family. One of these players was Justin James, a shooting guard from the University of Wyoming.

When the Kings selected James with the 40th pick, it was controversial within the Kings community. Some liked the pick, and others, like me, thought that Vlade Divac and company should have gone another direction.

But even though James would not have been my guy to choose with the 40th pick, there are qualities in his game that I think could help the Kings going forward.

Having said that, enjoy this slideshow which will showcase three reasons why the Kings drafting Justin James was a good move.
