SF Admiral Schofield – A Royal Prospect Breakdown

Admiral Schofield could be the Sacramento Kings best second round pick since Isaiah Thomas. Now, that’s not saying much but it’s still the truth, and it’s not to undersell Schofield’s NBA potential.

He’s an elite shooter, and is especially dangerous off the dribble. He’s got a high-release on his shot, enabling him to shoot over just about anyone and anything. There’s risk tied to his play style, and whether he’ll fit in on the Kings’ roster but his high motor and defensive versatility should go a long way in quelling those concerns.

PG Shamorie Ponds – A Royal Prospect Breakdown

Shamorie Ponds might be the backup point guard the Sacramento Kings need. While they unfortunately cancelled his pre-draft workout, they should pick him if he’s available.

He’s a bit undersized, but his offensive ability outweighs the size concerns. He’s able to get buckets at all three levels, and has shown excellent on-court speed and good vision. His basketball IQ has given some cause for concern, but with proper coaching he should be able to overcome it.

Ponds likely got a promise to be taken before 40, but if by some reason he’s still available the Kings would do well to grab him.

SF Deividas Sirvydis – A Royal Prospect Breakdown

Deividas Sirvydis is just 18, yet he has two years of professional experience playing overseas. As a plus shooter with incredible offensive potential, Sirvydis would fit right in on the Kings.

In addition to his shooting, he’s a capable scorer off the dribble and has flashed some playmaking chops. He’s also got good size, which will give him some versatility on the defensive end. He’s still incredibly young, unpolished and lacks elite athletic ability, but in the second round you’re shooting  for potential and Sirvydis has oodles of it.
