Player #5: De’Aaron Fox

Ah yes. You all knew he was going to make the list. Remember how I mentioned that Buddy Hield played a big role in the Kings’ electric offense? Well, De’Aaron Fox was arguably the main reason why the Kings were rolling this season.

As the point guard, Fox had the responsibility of being the anchor for the Kings on both ends of the court. Offensively, Fox was successful as he controlled the tempo in most games and was able to be a playmaker for himself and others.

Defensively, Fox had to guard the other team’s guard, which in the Western Conference is a tough job to do because there are so many elite guards in the conference. But with that said, Fox was able to handle his own as he was physical and lived up to his nickname “Swipa” as he finished in the NBA’s top ten in steals per game.

During his sophomore season, Fox made great strides as he averaged around 17 points and seven assists per game while making around 46% of his shots from the floor and 37% from beyond the arc.
