The franchise point guard for the Sacramento Kings does not have time to focus on hate in the social media world.

The 2018-19 campaign for the Sacramento Kings was a special one for the team and their fans, as it was the first time in over a decade where the team looked like they were on the rise.

A big reason for the Kings’ jump of improvement is due to the play of De’Aaron Fox. The point guard was exceptional in his sophomore year as he averaged around 17 points and seven assists per contest while shooting over 45% from the floor and 37% from the three-point line.

Not only did Fox’s play help the Kings become relevant again, but individually, it has him as a top contender for this year’s NBA Most Improved Player Award. Although the question is still up in the air whether that award will go to Fox, one thing Fox wants people to know is that there is no excuse if he does win.

Final Thoughts

De’Aaron Fox believes he should win the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award this season, and he has a good point. Even though I do not believe he will win the award, I would also not be surprised if he did.

Why not? He had a monster season as he was the anchor of the Kings’ electrifying offense. Prior to the season, he was given the role as the franchise guy going forward, and as a result, he exceeded expectations, solidifying himself as the leader of the team.

De’Aaron Fox had a fantastic season even if he does not win the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award, and Kings fans should be thrilled that he is their point guard going forward.
