After TMZ Sports reported Sacramento Kings Head Coach Luke Walton has been named in a lawsuit alleging sexual misconduct, the Kings, Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors have released statements.

Newly hired head coach of the Sacramento Kings, Luke Walton, has been named in a lawsuit by a former Spectrum SportsNet broadcaster, Kelli Tennant, alleging sexual misconduct during several encounters when Walton was an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors.

"“We are aware of the report and are gathering additional information. We have no further comment at this time,” a statement from the Sacramento Kings read."

Walton, who was head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers before joining the Sacramento Kings, has yet to respond to the allegation.

"“The alleged incident took place before Luke Walton was Head Coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. At no time before or during his employment here was this allegation reported to the Lakers. If it had been, we would have immediately commenced an investigation and notified the NBA. Since Walton is now under contract with another team, we will have no further comment,” the Lakers said in a statement."

Walton was also an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors from 2014-16 and was with the team when the alleged incident took place, prompting the Warriors to release the following statement:

"”We became aware of the alleged incident and story this evening and are in the process of seeking more information. We’ll have no further comment at this time,” the Warriors statement read."

At this time, the NBA has yet to release a statement regarding the situation. This is a developing story and we will update with more information as it becomes available.
