The Sacramento Kings recently got an update on Marvin Bagley III’s injury. And boy, did they dodge a bullet.

In the most recent Sacramento Kings game, heartbreak was present. Not only did the Kings almost beat the powerhouse Milwaukee Bucks, but the purple and white also played the later stages of the game without the services of their prized rookie in Marvin Bagley III.

During the third quarter, Bagley got hit by a screen from Malcolm Brogdon which had the former Blue Devil fall to the ground while clutching onto his left knee. At the time, it looked like there was a possibility that Bagley’s rookie year would end as he had trouble getting up and walking back to the locker room.

Recently, the Kings delivered the timetable for Bagley’s return, and fortunately, he is projected to return back to action in about a week or two as a left knee sprain was the diagnosis. Even though Marvin will miss a couple of games, this is great to hear considering what the injury could have been.

Final Thoughts On Bagley

Overall, it is good to hear that Marvin’s knee injury is not too serious and that he will return back to the hardwood before the regular season ends.

Hopefully, the Kings are able to find a way to make up for Bagley’s absence. So far this season, the rookie has been a valuable piece to the Kings’ rotation as he is averaging around 14 points and seven rebounds a game while making over 50% of his shots from the floor.
