The Sacramento Kings showed in their recent match against the Milwaukee Bucks what kind of team they are. And it should not be a surprise for anyone in their fanbase.

The Sacramento Kings are who we thought they were. A young and spritely team that is on the rise. With the play of De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield, the young Kings have erased the franchise’s reputation of dysfunction.

But even though the Kings look promising, they are not where they want to eventually be. And they showed that in their recent contest against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Game Of The Year?

The Kings showcased one of their best performances of the season yesterday night. The Milwaukee Bucks, currently the best team in the NBA, was in town as the heavy favorites. But that did not steer the purple and white away from giving them a fight.

Throughout the night, the game remained competitive. The Bucks controlled the lead for most of the contest, but the Kings did not get rattled by any Milwaukee scoring runs as they were always within striking distance. The Kings even rallied in the fourth quarter and had the lead with 30 seconds remaining in regulation

But in the end, the Bucks showed that they deserve to be one of the favorites for this year’s NBA championship. Clutch plays by Eric Bledsoe and others resulted in lifting them over the Kings as they won by a score of 141-140 in overtime.

Final Thoughts

The Kings performed how most people expected them to play yesterday against the Bucks. They were predicted to fall short to the Eastern Conference powerhouse. But with that said, they also were expected to give them a good battle till the end.

The Kings are not a champion-caliber team. They may not even be a playoff-contending team this season. But they are an up-and-coming squad that has a ton of young and promising talent on their roster. And if they continue to compete the way they did last night, Kings fans will not want to miss what their team has in store going forward.
