After a testy past few days between Ja Rule and NBA fans, players and teams as Ja tried to curse the Sacramento Kings, but Lil B, famous for his NBA curses, countered back—blessing Sacramento.

This is, quite possibly, the funniest and dumbest thing I’ve ever written about, but here we are. Ja Rule (yes, the rapper) and the Sacramento Kings are beefing. It all started with a halftime concert Ja Rule gave in Milwaukee that was rife with meme-ability.

The Minnesota Timberwolves got involved by clowning Ja and then Ja put a “curse” on the T-Wolves. Then, shortly after, the Wolves topped the Sacramento Kings and the Kings clapped back with their own post, clowning Ja’s curse abilities. Then, things went downhill for Ja.

On Tuesday afternoon, Ja tweeted that the Kings were cursed and that Karl Anthony-Towns, the center for the Minnesota Timberwolves, was going to leave the Sacramento Kings…? (UPDATE: the original tweet has been deleted). This, didn’t end up well for him. The Kings channeled their inner 50 Cent and just Ether’d Ja with their tweet. Ja then tried to fix his tweet by calling the Kings ‘bums’ and saying De’Aaron Fox was going to leave in free agency (Fox is under contract until the 2020-21 season).

Naturally, Fox got in on the fun, quote tweeting an old tweet from Lil B (we’re coming full-circle here, folks) that listed the Kings among the ‘blessed’ NBA teams. Now, as you may know, Lil B is the architect of sports curses. Most notably, he cursed Kevin Durant (then of the Oklahoma City Thunder) in a 2016 season that ended in a heartbreaking series loss to Golden State, he’s also beefed with James Harden, though both beefs have been killed.

We at A Royal Pain don’t often like to be left out of the fun and because of our loyalty to Sacramento, took it upon ourselves to confirm the Lil B Blessing of the Sacramento Kings is still on and thriving.

It’s been a fun day of Twitter shenanigans, but in all seriousness—Ja Rule’s curses have shown to do just the opposite, while Lil B is essentially one of the basketball gods—these two forces combined should make the Kings unstoppable. Really, what I’m trying to say is: Sacramento Kings 2019 NBA Champions, confirmed.

You’re welcome, Kings fans.
