The Sacramento Kings were unable to get the win in the Twin Cities tonight, leading to another setback towards their chances of making the playoffs.

The Sacramento Kings have just finished their matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and boy was it an ugly game to watch for Kings fans.

To begin the contest, the Kings had an excellent first quarter as they outscored the Timberwolves by a score of 30-19. But after that, Minnesota controlled the rest of the game which gave them the 112-105 victory in the end.

For the Timberwolves, their best players tonight were Karl-Anthony Towns who finished the game with 34 points and 21 rebounds, Tyus Jones who recorded 16 points and eight assists, and Derrick Rose who scored 20 points off the bench.

As for the Kings, top performers for them were Marvin Bagley III who scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, De’Aaron Fox who scored 23 points, and Buddy Hield who finished with 18 points and eight rebounds.

Final Thoughts

Tonight’s game has to be one of the more frustrating losses for the Kings this season. This is not because the Timberwolves are considered an easy win, rather than the Kings missing on so many opportunities.

Do not get me wrong. The effort and energy were there from the Kings tonight, at least in my eyes. But their execution was poor from the second quarter to the end, especially on the offensive end. For some reason, the Kings just could not find much rhythm scoring the ball, which has been their strength all season long. And when the Kings are unable to score this season, they usually get beat.

Overall, both teams did not bring their A-games tonight, but the Kings were the worst out of the two. Hopefully, the purple and white can rebound when they take the hardwood Wednesday night. But it will be a difficult matchup as the Eastern powerhouse Milwaukee Bucks will be waiting for them.
