It is crucial that the Sacramento Kings start their six-game homestand on a high note as they face off against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Sacramento Kings have not played good basketball as of late as they have won just two of their last six games, putting them at a record of 25-25 for the season. Even though the Kings have lost some ground in the playoff race, they have a golden opportunity to make their way back in the conversation.

In the last six games, the Kings have been the visitors in all of them. But now, they get to be the host of their next six contests. Even though their upcoming homestand consists of some formidable opponents, the Kings play their best basketball when they are in front of their Golden 1 crowd. And they must perform well tonight against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Kings MUST Win Tonight

Tonight’s match against the Hawks is a must-win game for the Kings. Like I mentioned above, this forthcoming home stretch consists of some tough opponents. But the Hawks are not one of them.

For the season, the Hawks have a record of 16-33 and are the 12th seed in the inferior Eastern Conference. They also are going to be shorthanded as guys like Miles Plumlee and Kent Bazemore are reported “OUT” for tonight while the Kings’ roster is relatively healthy.

Final Thoughts

If the Kings are going to get back to their winning ways, it has to start tonight. The purple and white are just a much better team than the Hawks, and not to mention they have the advantage of playing in front of their home crowd as well.

If the Kings win tonight, that would be awesome. It is expected of them. But if they end up flopping, then it could be the beginning of the end for the young Kings season.
