With the holidays in full session right now, what three gifts did the Sacramento Kings give to their fans that they totally did not expect to receive?

The holidays are currently in session, folks. And I hope everyone is having a great time! During this time of the year, gifts are being given to show one’s appreciation to one another. This includes what the Sacramento Kings have given to their fans this year.

For Kings fans, the Sacramento organization has given them a lot this year. But there have also been some gifts that the community did not expect to receive.

With that being said, let us hop into the three unexpected gifts that the Kings gave to their fans this holiday season. Let us start with gift #1.

Gift #1: The Rise of De’Aaron Fox

For the Kings’ rebuild to become a success, they needed to find a player that had the capability to lead their squad. Sacramento had some choices with the abundance of young talent on their roster which includes De’Aaron Fox, and to the team’s fortune, it seems like Fox is going to be their guy.

After coming off a so-so rookie campaign, it was unknown whether Fox would pan out during his sophomore season. Although there are still 49 games left in the campaign, Fox has been a star in making so far. In 33 games this year, Fox is averaging over 18 points, seven assists, and three rebounds per contest while making around 47% of his shots from the floor and 41% of his shots from the perimeter.

With De’Aaron’s combination of controlling the tempo of the game as well as being a dynamic playmaker, he has been the ideal anchor for the Kings’ electric offense. Not only has Fox been lethal offensively, but he has also shown flashes of being a lockdown defender when his team needed him to make a defensive stop.

Even though the Kings community expect Fox to be a great player down the road, it is still shocking to see how he has made strides during this year, especially considering that he is only 21 years of age.
