Player #3: Kosta Koufos

This is a weird selection, but at the same time, Kosta Koufos will be needed for the Kings today. Like I mentioned in the last slide, the big men for the Pelicans have the ability to completely take over this game. Even if Cauley-Stein does have a good night, the Kings still need more of their bigs to maintain New Orleans’.

With Marvin Bagley III out and Harry Giles currently with the Stockton Kings, it leaves Kosta Koufos as the next big man in line for the Kings. He is not flashy, but Kosta plays his role well. Offensively, he can give the Kings the occasionally half-hook shot at times, as well as give the Kings second-chance opportunities with his rebounding. Defensively, he is also solid in grabbing the boards and can be a bruiser in the interior.

Hopefully, the Kings can rely on Koufos to be the player they expect him to be and more. Offensively, he needs to set up his teammates for scores whether that is passing the ball or setting good screens. Defensively, he must make it hard for the Pelicans’ bigs to score and he needs to have success in rebounding the ball also.

Trending. Troy Williams deserves a roster spot. light

The bigs for Sacramento do not need to outplay New Orleans’ bigs, but they need to make sure they do not get dominated by them.
