The Sacramento Kings will face off against the Miami Heat tonight. Here is the main matchup of the game that will define which team comes out with the victory.

The Sacramento Kings are in Miami, Florida today as they have a matchup against the Miami Heat. Right now, the Kings stand at a record of 3-3 while the Heat are 3-2.

Both clubs are looking to build on their winning streaks tonight, and in order for them to do so, I think they will have to win a specific matchup. Whoever wins this matchup could determine which team comes out of the game with the victory. Let us dive into it.

Kings Guards vs. Heat Guards

Guard play will be critical in tonight’s game. The Kings have youngsters De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield who have been Sacramento’s top contributors on the offensive end. The same goes with the guards of Miami as their two best players on offense are Josh Richardson and Goran Dragic.

Whoever is able to limit the other more will have the advantage tonight. The Kings’ offense is not as explosive when Fox and Hield struggle and the same goes with Richardson and Dragic for the Heat. The Kings will also have to rely on other guards like Frank Mason III and Yogi Ferrell who both have been solid this year. And for the Kings’ defense, you cannot forget about the impact of Dwyane Wade who always has the ability for a breakout performance.

Can The Kings Get Over .500?

The Kings have a grand opportunity tonight to have a record of over .500. Although it is early in the year, the Kings community would be pumped if their team is able to leave the game with a winning record. Sounds sad, I know. But cut the Kings some slack, they rarely win.

If the purple and white are able to put a smile on their fanbase tonight, the play of their guards needs to be great.
