Sacramento Kings’ guard Frank Mason III helped guide Team USA to another victory during their run to qualify for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Not too long ago, Sacramento Kings’ point guard Frank Mason III helped guide Team USA to a convincing victory when they faced off against Uruguay in the qualifying matches for the FIBA World Cup. Recently after, Team USA took the court again, but this time to face off against Panama in which the United States won by a score of 78-48.

For the game, Mason was able to get just over 18 minutes of action on the court. During that time, he scored six points, three rebounds, and two assists while shooting 50% (2/4) from the court, 66.7% (2/3) from the three-point line, and 100% (2/2) from the free-throw stripe.

Final Thoughts

Overall, not a bad game by Frank Mason. It was not as great as his performance against Uruguay when he finished with 16 points, eight assists, and two rebounds, but he was still a solid contributor for his team.

With the United States finishing their game against Panama, their next FIBA-qualifying match is scheduled to take place at the end of November, which means Frank Mason’s time with Team USA is over at the moment.

Now, Mason can focus on getting ready for his sophomore season with the Kings. With De’Aaron Fox and Yogi Ferrell already on the roster as Sacramento’s point guards, it should an intense competition between all three players for playing time this season.

Hopefully, Mason has made improvements in his game compared to last season and can be a solid asset for the Kings this year.
