With the Sacramento Kings having a ton of young bigs on their squad, Skal Labissiere is making sure he still stays in the picture.

This summer has been a very productive offseason for the Sacramento Kings as a collective whole. Throughout these last months, constant videos and pictures have surfaced the internet showing the guys in purple and white working out in the hopes of getting better.

One of these players has been Skal Labissiere who is looking to rebound from a so-so sophomore season. One of the main weaknesses of Skal has been his size as he has been overpowered by the strength of the NBA. But this summer it seems like he is on a mission to eliminate that deficiency in his game.

Skal Making The Gains

Not too long ago, a video was released showing Skal doing some extreme weightlifting in the gym. Now a photo is out showing how Skal is looking this summer. Let us just say he has put on some weight, in a good way of course.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this picture of Skal should have Kings fans excited. The skillset of the two-year pro has not been a concern as he has displayed great touch around the rim, solid shooting from outside the paint, and a motivation to defend and grab rebounds.

The main problem, however, is that Skal has lacked strength in the past and has faced the consequences for it. But if Skal’s strength is equivalent to how he looks now, a big year might be inevitable for the Haitian Sensation.

With so many young bigs on the Kings’ roster, Skal has to dominate his counterparts in order to earn his desired minutes once the regular season starts. So with some newfound strength in him, he has a good chance of giving his teammates a run for their money once training camp begins.
