Since the Sacramento Kings signed Yogi Ferrell in free agency, the Kings’ newest point guard has embraced the organization and more.
With the Sacramento Kings and Yogi Ferrell agreeing upon a two-year contract, the purple and white have another promising young talent on their roster.
Last season, Ferrell was an asset off the bench for the Dallas Mavericks as he averaged 10.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 42.6% from the court, 37.3% from the three-point line, and 79.6% from the free-throw stripe.
Yogi Loving Sacramento
For Kings fans, they should be thrilled that their team picked up Ferrell due to his ability to be a scoring spark off the bench. But what may be more thrilling, and surprising, is that Ferrell is super excited to be part of the Kings’ rebuild.
In a recent interview Ferrell had on the Jim Rome Show, he said he was excited to join the Kings due to their young talent and style of play. He also mentioned that he feels moving to Sacramento will be an easy on-the-court adjustment for him too.
Not only has Ferrell embraced the Kings, but the city of Sacramento as well. In a recent tweet he posted, Ferrell showed a picture of himself on top of a hiking trail that is located in the Sacramento area. STAY SAFE, YOGI!
Final Thoughts
Overall, it is great that Yogi is excited about joining the Kings this year. Due to Sacramento being a low-market team, it can be difficult for them to acquire good free agents. But this time they were able to land a promising talent in Ferrell who is excited to rock the purple and white next season.
